You're about to send your first personalized video to a prospect on LinkedIn. The whole process takes about three minutes once you're set up.
What you'll need
- Google Chrome (or a Chromium-based browser like Brave, Arc, or Edge)
- A Vidgram account -- sign up here if you haven't already
- The Vidgram Chrome extension installed (your team admin will share the install link)
- A LinkedIn account (any plan works -- free, Premium, or Sales Navigator)
Step 1: Install the Chrome extension
If you haven't installed the extension yet, ask your team admin for the Vidgram extension install link. Click it to add the extension to Chrome, then pin it to your toolbar so it's always one click away.
For detailed installation steps, see Install the Chrome Extension.
Step 2: Sign in
Click the Vidgram icon in your Chrome toolbar. A sign-in screen will appear. Use the same email and password you signed up with.

Step 3: Go to a LinkedIn profile
Open LinkedIn and visit any prospect's profile. This can be someone you've been meaning to reach out to, or a test profile to get the hang of things.

Step 4: Open the Vidgram side panel
Click the Vidgram icon in your Chrome toolbar. The side panel opens on the right side of your screen. It detects whose profile you're on and pulls in their details -- name, title, company, and profile URL.

Step 5: Generate a script
Click Generate Script. Vidgram's AI reads the prospect's LinkedIn data and your team's persona settings, then writes a personalized script for you. The script mentions specific details from their profile so the video feels tailor-made.
You can edit the script before recording. Change anything that doesn't sound like you.

Step 6: Record your video
Choose how you want to record:
- Record here -- Record right in your browser using your laptop webcam. A teleprompter shows your script so you don't have to memorize it.
- Record on phone -- Scan a QR code with your phone to record there instead. Great if you want to record on the go or prefer your phone's camera.
Hit the record button and read through the script. Don't worry about being perfect -- authentic beats polished every time.

Step 7: Choose how to deliver it
After recording, pick a delivery method:
- Send as Video -- Attaches the video file (MP4/WebM) directly to a LinkedIn DM. The prospect sees the video playing inline right in their inbox. This is the fastest way to get someone's attention.
- Send as Link -- Creates a trackable hosted page with your video. You'll get a link to share in a LinkedIn message, email, or anywhere else. You'll see when they watch it and how much they viewed.
- Download -- Saves the video file to your computer. Use this if you want to share it outside of Vidgram.

Step 8: Send it
If you chose Send as Video or Send as Link, the extension stages your video or link in the LinkedIn DM composer. Review the message and click Send in LinkedIn. That's it -- your first personalized video is on its way.

What happens next
If you chose Send as Link, you'll get a notification when your prospect watches the video. You can see view data in the Vidgram dashboard, including how much of the video they watched.
If you chose Send as Video, the video plays inline as a native attachment in the prospect's LinkedIn inbox -- no links to click, no extra steps for them.
Now that you've sent your first video, try sending a few more. Most reps find their groove after three or four recordings.
