Roles and Permissions

Understand what each role can do in Vidgram and how to assign the right access.

Every team member in Vidgram has one of four roles: Owner, Manager, Ops, or Rep. Each role controls what that person can see and do inside the workspace.

Owner

The owner has full access to everything. They can manage billing, change settings, connect integrations (like Salesforce and HubSpot), invite and remove team members, and assign roles. Every workspace has at least one owner.

If you created the workspace, you're the owner.

Manager

Managers can do everything an ops user can, plus they can manage workspace settings. This makes managers the right person to own the team's operational configuration alongside messaging.

Managers cannot:

  • Change billing or subscription details
  • Connect or disconnect CRM integrations
  • Invite or remove team members
  • Assign or change roles

Ops

Ops users can see all team members' videos, dashboards, and analytics. They have full access to the Messaging Console β€” personas, value propositions, differentiators, industries, CTAs, and script configuration. This role is designed for enablement or RevOps people who shape the team's messaging framework without needing admin access.

Ops cannot:

  • Change workspace settings
  • Change billing or subscription details
  • Connect or disconnect CRM integrations
  • Invite or remove team members
  • Assign or change roles

Rep

Reps can record videos, send them on LinkedIn, and work on campaigns. They can see their own videos and activity, but they can't see other team members' data or the Messaging Console.

Reps cannot:

  • View other team members' videos or analytics
  • Access the Messaging Console
  • Change any settings
  • Manage billing, integrations, or team membership

Change a team member's role

Only an owner can change roles.

  1. Go to Users in the sidebar.
  2. Find the team member you want to update.
  3. Change their role using the dropdown next to their name.

What happens when a role changes

Role changes take effect right away. If you change someone from Manager to Rep, they'll lose access to team-wide data and the Messaging Console the next time they load the page. No data is deleted β€” they can see it again if their role is upgraded later.
