Every video script ends with a call to action. CTAs tell the prospect what to do next. The preview tool lets you test your entire messaging setup before your reps start recording.
CTAs (Calls to Action)
CTAs are pre-approved closing phrases the AI selects from when generating scripts. The AI picks the best CTA based on the script's tone.
CTA tones
Each CTA is tagged with one of three tones:
- Soft -- Low-pressure, invitational. Example: "Would a 15-minute call make sense this week?"
- Direct -- Clear and confident. Example: "Let's get 15 minutes on the calendar -- I'll send you a link."
- Assumptive -- Assumes the next step will happen. Example: "I'll send over a time for Thursday -- look out for my invite."
When you open the CTAs page, a summary strip at the top shows how many CTAs you have in each tone category.

Creating a CTA
- Open Messaging in the sidebar, then click CTAs.
- Click the + button.
- Type the closing phrase in the CTA Text field. Write it exactly as you'd want a rep to say it on camera.
- Select the Tone (Soft, Direct, or Assumptive).
- Set Status to Active. CTAs default to Active so they're available immediately.
- Click Add.
Managing CTAs
Click any CTA in the list to edit it. You can change the text, switch the tone, or archive it by setting the status to Archived. Archived CTAs won't appear in generated scripts.
How many CTAs should you have?
Aim for at least 3-5 active CTAs spread across different tones. This gives the AI options to match the right closing line to each script's tone. If all your CTAs are soft and your script tone is direct, the ending will feel disconnected.
Example CTAs by tone
Soft:
- "Would it make sense to connect for a quick call this week?"
- "Happy to walk you through what we're seeing with teams like yours -- want me to send some times?"
Direct:
- "Let's get 15 minutes on the calendar this week. I'll send you a link."
- "Check out this case study and let me know if it resonates -- I think it will."
Assumptive:
- "I'll send you a calendar invite for Thursday. If that doesn't work, just suggest another time."
- "I'm going to send over a quick demo link. Take a look and we'll go from there."
Preview and Test
The Preview page lets you test your full messaging setup against a sample prospect. This is the best way to see what the AI will generate before your reps start using it.
How to use Preview
- Open Messaging in the sidebar, then click Preview & Test (it appears in the sidebar navigation after you set up your messaging).
- At the top, you'll see a summary of your current configuration: how many value propositions, differentiators, CTAs, personas, and industries are active, plus your script defaults.
- Fill in the sample prospect form:
- Prospect Name -- e.g., "Sarah Chen"
- Job Title -- e.g., "VP of Sales"
- Company Name -- e.g., "Acme Corp"
- Industry -- Select from your active industries (optional)
- Click Generate Script.

Reading the output
The generated script appears below the form. Along with the script text, you'll see:
- Matched Persona -- Which persona the AI selected based on the job title
- Matched Industry -- Which industry profile was applied (if any)
- Selected CTA -- The closing line the AI chose
- Tone -- The tone used for generation
This tells you exactly how the AI interpreted the prospect and which pieces of your messaging it pulled in.

Iterating on your messaging
If the script doesn't sound right:
- Wrong persona matched? Check that persona's title keywords. Add more variations of the job title.
- Missing industry context? Make sure the industry has active use cases.
- CTA feels off? The AI picks CTAs based on tone. If you're seeing soft CTAs on direct scripts, add more direct-tone CTAs.
- Script too generic? Your value propositions or pain points might be too broad. Make them more specific.
Click Regenerate to get a new version with the same inputs. The AI produces different variations each time.
Before you go live
Run the preview for your 3-5 most common prospect types. For each one, check that the script:
- Mentions the prospect by name
- References their role or company
- Hits a relevant pain point
- Ends with a clear next step
Once you're satisfied, your messaging setup is ready. Reps will get scripts like these when they visit prospect profiles with the Chrome extension.
