Set Up Your Messaging Console

How to open the Messaging Console and fill in your company details, value propositions, differentiators, and script defaults.

The Messaging Console is the foundation of every script Vidgram generates for your reps. Before your team starts recording videos, you need to tell the AI what your company does, what makes you different, and how you want scripts to sound.

Opening the Messaging Console

  1. Open the Vidgram web app.
  2. Click Messaging in the sidebar.
  3. You'll see the console overview with four tiles: Company, Personas, Industries, and CTAs.

Each tile shows a readiness indicator -- a green dot means that section is set up. A progress bar at the top tracks how many sections are complete. When all four are green, your messaging is fully configured.

Company section

Click the Company tile to open the company messaging page. This is where you set up the core information that appears in every script.

Company Overview

Write a plain-language description of what your company does. Keep it to 2-3 sentences. The AI uses this as baseline context for every script it generates.

Good example: "Vidgram helps B2B sales teams send personalized video messages to prospects on LinkedIn. Reps record short videos with AI-generated scripts tailored to each prospect's role and company."

Bad example: "We are a leading provider of next-generation engagement solutions leveraging proprietary AI technology."

Write it the way you'd explain your company to a friend.

Script Configuration

Below the overview, you'll find three settings that control how scripts are written by default:

Default Tone -- How the script sounds overall.

  • Professional -- Formal, structured, respectful of the prospect's time
  • Conversational -- Warm, peer-to-peer, feels like a colleague reaching out
  • Direct -- Concise, confident, gets to the point fast

Script Length -- How long the script is.

  • Short -- 40-60 words, about 15 seconds when read aloud
  • Standard -- 60-80 words, about 25 seconds
  • Extended -- 80-100 words, about 35 seconds

Opening Style -- How the script starts.

  • Role-led -- Opens by referencing the prospect's job title (e.g., "As someone leading sales at...")
  • Company-led -- Opens by referencing the prospect's company (e.g., "I was looking at what Acme is doing with...")
  • Problem-led -- Opens with the pain point before any introduction (e.g., "Most sales teams struggle with...")

These are defaults. Individual personas can override the tone setting if needed.

Value Propositions

These are the key benefits your reps communicate. Add at least one. Active value propositions are weighted in script generation -- the AI picks the most relevant one based on the prospect's role and company.

Examples:

  • "Send 5x more personalized outreach without increasing headcount"
  • "Replace generic text emails with video messages that get 3x the reply rate"

Click the + button to add a new value proposition. Set its status to Active to include it in script generation, or leave it as Draft while you're still working on the wording.

Differentiators

What sets you apart from competitors. The AI uses these to craft more compelling scripts when it detects a prospect might be evaluating similar tools.

Examples:

  • "Only video platform built specifically for LinkedIn outreach"
  • "AI generates scripts from the prospect's actual profile data, not templates"

Add differentiators the same way as value propositions -- click +, fill in the text, and set the status.

Status strip

At the top of the company messaging page, a status strip shows your active value proposition and differentiator counts at a glance. This helps you confirm your setup is complete without scrolling through the full page.

Saving your work

Each section saves independently. Fill in the Company Overview and click Save. Set your Script Configuration and click Save. Value propositions and differentiators save when you add or update them.

You don't need to fill everything in one sitting. Come back and refine your messaging as you learn what resonates with prospects.
